Marilyn started to give me Reiki when I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer; I had a catheter due to a large growth and was in pain and discomfort. The medicine I was taking to dissolve the growth did not appear to be working. Marilyn suggested perhaps a few sessions of Reiki might be of help to me. The first two sessions seemed not to be working but Marilyn encouraged me to continue. Amazingly by the end of the third session I was experiencing a slow but quite noticeable increase in my energy level. After receiving Reiki treatments, my pain diminished and the growth later dissolved.

I was then scheduled for radiation treatments and after eight weeks (5 days a week) of radiation, my energy level was at an all time low. It was an effort to just move myself in bed. Marilyn would work her healing sessions once a week and after each session the rise in energy level would increase in length. She attuned me to Level I, and I learned to self administer Reiki and as my energy level rose so did the strength of my self-administration.

I am now a firm believer in the ability of Reiki to work its healing powers, not in place of but in conjunction with current medical practices and alternative healing techniques. Along with the rise in energy level I have experienced a brightening of my positive mental outlook. I know my recovery has been hastened as a result of Reiki and Marilyn's healing hands. I cannot thank her enough.

Before my session with Marilyn I did not know what Reiki was. I had a rather severe bout with sciatica lasting many months, and my body felt stiff and fatigued.

I found Reiki to be a totally relaxing experience. During the session, my body felt warm and tingling. The overall sensation one has is of peace and well being. Marilyn has a caring, reassuring presence that is very comforting and certainly a wonderful addition to the practice itself.
